Divine Providence Hospital Auxiliary hospital with check

On June 30 Divine Providence Hospital and Susquehanna Health administration held a brunch for members of the auxiliary to thank them for their continued support in helping to extend the Mission of the Sisters of Christian Charity to provide healthcare services to the community.

Through the efforts of auxiliary members a check in the amount of $62,000 was presented to Robert Kane, president of Divine Providence Hospital. $28,002 of the check represented funds from gift shop sales.

Additional funds are raised through monthly vendor sales as well as special events. This check is designated as the first installment toward a pledge of $125,000 for the purchase of a C-arm, which is a piece of surgical equipment predominantly used in breast health surgery.

Kane congratulated and thanked the members for their time and commitment to the hospital.

Steve Johnson, CEO of Susquehanna Health, commended members for their hard work over the years and reiterated the important role the auxiliary plays in supporting the health system.

New officers were introduced and installed at the brunch. Marie Zurinsky, president; Linda Cioffi, Second vice president; Donna Diermyer, treasurer; Fran Mazzullo, assistant treasurer; recording secretary, Sylvia McCarty; Gladys Archambault, corresponding secretary. Outgoing president, Pat Solley, congratulated those new board members present and thanked everyone for their support over the years.
