Mr., Mrs. Howard Aderhold observe 60th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Howard C. Aderhold, Montoursville, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary Jan. 29, 2013.
They were married by the Rev. Donald R. Antica in Williamsport. They are members of Heshbon Park United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Aderhold, the former Florence Mae Curry, is a native of Grampian. She is the daughter of the late Lillian and Freeman Curry. She retired in 1994 from Mansour Jewelers, Ithaca, N.Y.
Mr. Aderhold, a native of Cogan Station, is the son of the late Verda and Leslie Aderhold. He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1947 and from the former Williamsport Technical Institute, now Pennsylvania College of Technology, in 1954. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a member of the Chosin Few. He retired in 2000 from Cornell University, Ithaca, as a nuclear engineer and reactor supervisor.
They are the parents of two daughters, Connie L. Friedman, Pasadena, Calif., and Elaine L., Lodi, Wis., and a son, Norman J. Cowden, Williamsport.
There are six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a dinner, hosted by their children, was held at the Peter Herdic House on Jan. 12.
