Mr., Mrs. Robert Sweeley observed 65th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sweeley, Williamsport, observed their 65th wedding anniversary Jan. 23, 2013.

They were married by the Rev. Paul Wheelock at St. Paul Evangelical Church. They are members of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Sweeley, the former Dorothy Marie Yeagle, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of of the late Helen and Oscar Yeagle. She graduated from Williamsport High School in 1941. She was employed by Dunn and Brad Street, Lowry Electric Town and Country, and Kmart.

Mr. Sweeley, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Isabelle and Frank Sweeley. He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1939. He served in the Marines aviation for three years during World War II. He retired in 1980 from the U.S. Postal Service after 35 years.

They are the parents of three daughters, Nancy Kohler, Williamsport; Donna Phillips, Wellsboro; and Helen Blank, Montgomery; and two sons, Donald, Enola; and Frank, Salisbury, N.C.

There are 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In honor of their anniversary, the family visited them at their home.
