Couple observe 25th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Harold D. Overdorf, Trout Run, observed their 25th anniversary Feb. 26, 2013.

They were married by Bishop Tom Rapere at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints, Sandy, Utah.

Mrs. Overdorf, the former Elizabeth Pauline Pottle, is a native of St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. She is the daughter of the late Matilda B. Ingram and Cluny J. Pottle. She attended school in St. John’s. She was employed as a telephone operator in St. John’s and at various jewelry stores in Salt Lake City, Utah; York, Pa.; and Williamsport.

Mr. Overdorf, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Idabelle C. Hipple and Jack M. Overdorf. He attended Williamsport Area High School and graduated from an adult education school, Ewa Oaha, Hawaii. He is a retired boilermaker and served in the Navy for 22 years in the Seabees with the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer (E-8). He is employed by Triangle Technical School, Sun-bury, as a welding teacher.

In honor of their anniversary, a trip to the Midwest is being planned for June.
