Mr., Mrs. Andrew V. Bilby observe 55th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew V. Bilby, of South Williamsport, observed their 55th wedding anniversary Nov. 8, 2013.
They were married by the Rev. Robert Green at First Church of Christ Disciples, where they are members.
Mrs. Bilby, the former Connie M. Maneval, is a native of South Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Mildred and Raymond Maneval. She graduated from South Williamsport Area High School and retired from Tetley Tea as a blending manager after 37 years of service. She is employed by South Williamsport Area School District as a substitute teacher’s aid and clerical support, and also is employed by South Williamsport Borough as a crossing guard.
Mr. Bilby, a native of Cammal (Pine Creek), is the son of the late Ella (Miller) and Tyson Bilby. He graduated from Jersey Shore High School. He retired from Schneider Valley Farms Dairy as a route driver after 34 years of service. He is employed by Susquehanna Transit as a school bus driver for South Williamsport Area School District.
They are the parents of a son, Raymond A., of Tempe, Ariz., and a daughter, Cindy Weber, of Las Vegas, Nev.
There are four grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a cruise to the Bahamas with friends was taken.
