Mr. and Mrs. Douglass observe 60th anniversary

Jean Ann (Haldeman) and Richard Douglass, of Linden, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary March 27, 2014.

They were married by the Rev. Robert Wagner at the former Linden Methodist Church. They are members of Buchanan Baptist Church.

Mrs. Douglass, a native of Linden, is the daughter of the late Thelma and Curtis Haldeman. She received a GED diploma in 1964 and retired in 2001 from Brodart.

Mr. Douglass, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Della Kish and Bernard Douglass. He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1954 and retired in 2007 from West Pharmaceutical Services. He is employed by Wirerope Works Inc. as a part-time guard. They are the parents of four sons, Richard Jr., of Linden; Randy, of Loyalsock Township; Matthew, of Williamsport; and Aaron, of Cogan Station, and a daughter, Kim Rockwell, of Trout Run.

There are 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In honor of their anniversary, a trip is being planned.
