Mr., Mrs. Pida observe 65th anniversary
Helen M. (Codispoti) and John W. Pida, of Montoursville, observed their 65th wedding anniversary July 23, 2014.
They were married at St. Thomas The Apostle, Elkland. They are members of St. Mary’s Parish, Blossburg, and Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Montoursville.
Mrs. Pida, of Elkland, is the daughter of the late Mary and Benjamin Codispoti. She graduated from Elkland High School in 1948. She worked at Elkland Telephone Co., Corning Glassworks Co., and Pida’s Pharmacy, Blossburg.
Mr. Pida, a native of Tidioute, is the son of the late Mary and Constantine Pida. He graduated from Elkland High School in 1947 and attended University of Pittsburgh. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was employed by Blossburg State General Hospital and Pida’s Pharmacy as the owner and operator.
They are the parents of five sons, Andrew, John, Timothy, Michael and David, and a daughter, Therese Molesky.
There are six grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a family reunion and blessing of wedding vows by the Revs. John J. Victoria, John K. Manno, and Anthony and James McGahagan, formerly of St. Andrew’s, Blossburg, was held Aug. 2 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
