Mr., Mrs. Phillips observe 60th anniversary

Elaine and Richard L. Phillips, of Sullivan County, observed their 60th wedding anniversary March 29, 2017.

They were married in Carlisle.

Mrs. Phillips is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Martin, of Enola. She graduated from Camp Hill High School in 1956. She was employed by General Motors Acceptance Corp. Insur­ance Branch, Phila­delphia, and by Ladore Camp, Waymart, in finance and programming.

Mr. Phillips is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Vernon Phillips, of Camp Hill. He graduated from Camp Hill High School in 1956. He received a bachelor’s degree in animal husbandry from Delware Valley College, Doylestown, in 1964 and a master’s degree in education from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in 1966. He was employed by Valley Forge Military Academy, Wayne, and Western Wayne High School, South Canaan, as a science teacher. He also was employed by Ladore Camp, Waymart, in finance and programming.

They are the parents of three sons, Tony Phillips, of Williamsport; Don Phillips, of Portage, Michigan; and Jon Phillips, of Savannah, Georgia.

They have seven grandchildren.
