Mr., Mrs. Ulrich observe 60th anniversary
Georgie Mae (Stroup) and Paul Ulrich, of Williamsport, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary Dec. 23, 2017.
They were married by the Rev. Ralph Hartzell at Messiah Lutheran Church, South Williamsport, where they are members.
They also are associate members of Cocoa Beach Community Church, Cocoa Beach, Florida.
Mrs. Ulrich, a native of Williamsport, is the daughter of the late Helen and George Stroup. She graduated from South Williamsport Area High School in 1958 and Mansfield University in 1972. She received a master’s degree in education from Elmira College in 1976. She retired in 1997 from Canton Area School District as a teacher after 25 years of service.
Mr. Ulrich, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Luella and Paul Ulrich. He graduated from South Williamsport Area High School in 1955 and Lock Haven University in 1961. He received a master’s degree in education from Elmira College in 1970 and received his principal and superintendent certification from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, in 1973. He was employed by Canton Area School District as a teacher for 17 years and retired in 1997 from Troy School District as a high school principal. He served in the Army from 1957 to 1959.
They are the parents of a son, Todd and partner, Hardy Davis, of Orlando, Florida, and a daughter, Melissa (Scott) Crandell, of Mifflinburg.
They have three granddaughters and two great-granddaughters.
In honor of their anniversary, a celebration will be held with family in Florida.
