Couple celebrates 50 years
Spending anniversary together
Raymond and Barbara Frederick, of Williamsport, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 22. The couple met at a Halloween party in 1963. They are native New Yorkers who now live in the area. The Frederick’s were married at St. Leo’s Roman Catholic Church Queens, New York, in 1969, by Father Krause.
The former Barbara Caldararo is from New York, New York, and is the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa Caldarao. She is retired.
Raymond Frederick is formerly from Queens, New York, and is the son of the late Douglas and Eunice Frederick. He was a SPEC 4 in the Army. He retired from Wonder Bread.
At the Frederick’s wedding in 1969, Rosemarie Coppola was the matron of honor and Douglas Frederick was the best man.
After the couple’s honeymoon they returned to Germany where Raymond was stationed.
They are the parents of Justine, of Pennsylvania, Joseph, of North Carolina, and Stephanie, of Massachusetts. They also have five grandchildren — one grandson and four granddaughters.
The couple is planning to take a couple days to themselves and then family will come to celebrate the wedding anniversary. There is an anniversary celebration at being planned at TGIF.
