SPCA to hold ‘Tails on the Rail Trail’ event
The Lycoming County SPCA will be holding a 5 mile walk, bike or run event “Tails on the Rail Trail” April 21 on the Pine Creek Rail Trail.
The event will begin at the Waterville Trail Parking Access at North Route 44 in Waterville.
Registration will start at 9:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. There is a fee of $15 per person.
Additional pledges are welcomed and can be turned in the day of the event.
The walk will turn around at 2 1/2 miles at the Dry Run Comfort Station and will head back to access where it started.
Special prizes will be awarded to the top individuals who raise the most pledges. Other prize drawings will be held for all participants. Door prize drawings will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the registration area. All paid participants are eligible to win.
Refreshments will be served at the registration area and beverages will be available at the halfway point of the tour.
Participants are welcomed to bring their dogs.
Dogs must be up-to-date on their vaccines, have a current dog licenses and be friendly toward people and other dogs.
The SPCA will be featuring adoptable dogs that are currently at the shelter.
