Canton Wine and Cheese Festival scheduled for June 22

CANTON – The Fourth Annual Canton Wine and Cheese Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 22. The event will be held at the Manley-Bohlayer Heritage Farm, the home of the Pennsylvania Apple ‘n Cheese Festival, located at 141 E. Canton Cross Road.

Advanced tickets are on sale now at the following businesses: the Canton, Troy and Towanda branches of Chemung Canal Trust Co., the Canton and Troy branches of First Citizens National Bank, the Mansfield office of Gannon Insurance, the Canton Independent-Sentinel and the Canton Borough Office. Tickets purchased at these locations will be $12, a $3 savings over tickets purchased at the gate on the day of the festival.

Festival attendees also can order their tickets by mail by printing out the ticket order form at and mailing in their payment. The deadline for ordering tickets by mail is June 10.

Admission to the festival includes wine tasting and a tasting glass. All those who wish to participate in wine tasting must bring proper photo identification. Tickets for designated drivers and attendees under the age of 21 will be $5. These tickets do not include alcohol tasting and do not permit the ticket holder to purchase alcohol. No pets will be permitted on the field.

In addition to 10 Pennsylvania wineries, the festival will include numerous food and craft vendors. Acoustic Pawn Shop and Midnight Sun will provide entertainment throughout the day.
