Packwood to host workshop for kids

LEWISBURG – Packwood House Museum will host a “Nature Sketchbooks” summer workshop for kids 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Museum’s Tour Center.

Barb Baker, a YMCA Arts Center instructor and Lewisburg-based colored pencil artist will help the children create a sketchbook by observing objects in nature and drawing them using colored pencil techniques.

The program is open children ages 8 through 11 and seating is limited. Registration is required.

Packwood House Museum’s 2013 Summer Programs for Kids runs Tuesday mornings through August 13.

Each session will be held 10:30 a.m. until noon at the museum’s Tour Center, 15 N. Water St., unless otherwise noted.

All programs are free, but space is limited and the museum requests that parents register their children by calling the museum at 524-0323. All supplies will be provided.
