Operation Library Card to support troops

LOCK HAVEN – September is Library Card Sign-Up Month. That is why the Ross Library is creating Operation Library Card, a month-long project that will align with the nationwide Operation Paperback.

Interested patrons may stop in at the Ross Library, 232 W. Main St. For every person who signs up for a library card during the month of September, the Ross Library will pledge to send one paperback book to troops serving overseas.

Those who already have a library card may still participate in the program.

Just update information at the front desk and the library pledges to include a paperback. Ask the staff member at the desk if you can make sure your information is up to date. It takes less than a minute and will support the troops.

The books will be selected by staff according to a list of requested titles from the troops and mailed through the nationwide program, Operation Paperback, at the end of the month.
