Williamsport Garden Club places first at the Bloomsburg Fair
Members of the Williamsport Garden Club recently took first place in floral arranging at the Bloomsburg Fair in the horticulture building.
The theme was Kaleidoscope and eight area garden clubs participated in six different floral design areas. The areas judged were: mantle, table, high pedestal, low pedestal, door and niche.
Club members that participated were Joann Ertel, sewing; Shirley Springman, shopping and arranging; Jo Ann Saltsgiver, background preparation; Ann Dinges and Nancy Giacomi, brainstorming; Audrey Porter, hospitality; Sandra Hoyt, floral design; Eleanor Moyer, door design; Darlene Melfi, high pedestal design; Joan Bauder, low pedestal design; Heidi Healy, niche design; Shirley Springman and Audrey Porter, table design.
The December program will be held at the Williamsport Country Club on Dec. 5.
The dinner program, called “Found Treasures,” will be presented by Chuck Chatham, noted area designer.
