Croda CAC welcomes new student member
The Croda Inc. Community Advisory Council (CAC) recently welcomed a new member to the all-volunteer advisory group for its Mill Hall facility. High school student Chadd Miller has joined the 12-member CAC, which was established in 2001 to better educate community members about Croda and to enhance peoples’ understanding of the local manufacturer.
A junior at Central Mountain High School, Miller fills the seat of outgoing CAC member Michelle Rae, a 2013 Central Mountain graduate who is now attending college at the University of Pittsburgh. He is the son of Jay and Nicole Miller of Lock Haven and his mother previously served on the Community Advisory Council. Miller is an honors student and participates in cross country and track at the High School. He serves as president of the youth group at Covenant United Methodist Church in Lock Haven and also is a karate student and instructor at the Lock Haven YMCA.
Miller joins other local residents on the CAC, including Tina Geyer, Kevin Fanning, Mike Flanagan, Brian Martin, Paige McCaleb, Gary Mellott, Jim Merinar, April Strouse, Shannon Tyson, Michelle Walizer and Tom Walker. Emilie Oishi, Croda manager of safety, health, environmental and regulatory affairs, serves as leader for the Advisory Council.
Croda operates the Mill Hall manufacturing facility in Bald Eagle Township. Croda offers a global network, servicing the specialty chemicals needs in the sectors of Consumer Care (personal care, health care and crop care), Performance Technologies (home care, additives for polymers, polymers and coatings, lubricant additives and processed vegetable oils) and Industrial Chemicals (base oleochemicals).
