Council of Republical Women hold luncheon, give check to Expectations Women’s Center

On Jan. 27, the Williamsport Lycoming County Council of Republican Women held a luncheon at the Genetti Hotel to promote the anti-abortion values of the republican platform.

The first speaker was Elizabeth Greenaway, the former director of marketing at Expectations Women’s Center, 9 N. Third St., Lewisburg, and current fundraising volunteer.

She spoke about the ministry of Expectations helping women through crisis pregnancies and offers post-abortion counseling.

A presentation featured the story of four women from Williamsport and Lewisburg whose lives had been changed by the Expectations Women’s Center.

As an intern for President George W. Bush, Greenaway discussed with the audience reasons to continue to support anti-abortion candidates.

Patsy Latchet Brown, second vice president, presented Expectations with a check from the WLCCRW for $100 in addition to diapers and wipes that were donated by various members attending the luncheon.

The keynote speaker was Howard Langdon, an attorney from Muncy.

As a speaker at other anti-abortion events, he also serves as chairman of the Lycoming County Life Chain Coordinating Committee.
