U.C.T. Counselor of the Year
United Commercial Travelers of America, Williamsport Council 350, recently honored their Counselor of the Year. Receiving a plaque from last year’s recipient, Mark Sherman, regional director, was his wife, Amanda Sherman, local immediate past president.
The award is given to a counselor who demonstrates “people helping people” and the fraternity’s new motto; “Where Community and Compassion Unite.”
Amanda has been a devoted member for six years. Together with Mark, she has been instrumental in reorganizing the U.C.T. Special Bowling Program. The program supports the intellectually challenged citizens of the area in a bowling competition, awarding them trophies and awards.
Amanda also has received the “United Commercial Travelers Rose for the Living Award” at the Regional Convention. It is given as an appreciation of Amanda’s contributions to the organization. Amanda and Mark have been married for nine years. She is a member of the Roman Catholic Visitation Chapel in South Williamsport and is employed as a medical assistant for a local practice.
