SPCA awarded ‘Share the Love’ grant from Blaise Alexander Subaru
The Lycoming County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has announced it received a “Share the Love” grant from Blaise Alexander Subaru in Montoursville for more than $14,800.
Office manager, Cindy Zellers, reached out to the Lycoming County SPCA because they are the county’s only locally run, full-service shelter that operates entirely on the support of its donors.
“The results of the promotion were amazing,” said Dave Kelley, general manager at Blaise Alexander Subaru, who went on to thank all of their customers and Subaru of America for helping the Lycoming County SPCA, and looks forward to the next program.
“We are overwhelmed by the size of this grant,” said Victoria Stryker, Lycoming County SPCA executive director.
“The money will help us pay for the initial inoculations, rabies shots, spaying or neutering, and daily care for our homeless animals.
Our shelter does not receive contributions from national organizations so this grant will remain in Lycoming County for the welfare of the animals we serve which amounts to almost 4,000 animals per year.”
