President Patti Barclay brought the meeting to order and discussed terms for the flower arranging workshop that was held April 4 to prepare for the Bloomsburg Fair. Lois Velkoff, Sandy Ravert, Lana Newman and Patti Barclay attended the workshop.

Melinda Bender updated the membership directory and the organization is currently seeking new members to assist them with community plantings and the displays at the Hughesville, Bloomsburg and Montour DeLong Fairs.

The updated booklet will be handed out during the April 17 meeting, which will feature a cameo collection from local resident, Patty Shreiner. Members are asked to wear or bring any cameos they might have and she will assess them.

Community plantings in Muncy are scheduled for May 17 and May 15 will be used to clean and prune.

The group will meet at 6 p.m. at the parish hall with appropriate tools.

On May 23 members will meet at Thelma George’s house at 1 p.m. to make the flower arrangements for the Muncy Alumni Banquet.

The flowers will be delivered the next day, May 24 to Ward Myers Elementary School where the banquet will be held.

Other programs scheduled for the year include making a terrarium with Cheri’s House of Flowers, touring Evergreen Farms, culturing harmony with beneficial microbes in vegetables, a picnic at Muncy Heritage Park and a program at Christmas time with Sue’s Salves to learn about herbs and botanicals, natural oils and cosmetics.
