Packwood House to host Randy and Josey Brendle
LEWISBURG – Packwood House Museum will host Randy and Josey Brendle during Lewisburg’s Festival of the Arts on Saturday.
The Brendles will have a display of antique musical instruments, provide free children’s activities and will perform traditional folk music.
The Brendles will be located under a tent on the grass lot next to the Packwood House Museum Tour Center, 15 N. Water St.
The Brendles, also known as Echoing Heart Productions, of Benton, specialize in hands-on programs for children and families that “combine history, music, art, legend – and down-to-earth skills for living.”
They are historic interpreters at the Hay Creek Historic Fall Festival, the Historic Joanna Furnace near Morgantown and have performed at Danville’s Iron Heritage Festival and the Pennsylvania German Folk Festival in Kutztown. They also are members of the National Association of Interpretation and have presented their Homemade Instrument Making workshop at the National Convention.
Funding for the program has been provided by a grant from the Lindig Lewisburg Foundation Fund at the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania. For more information on the program, or on the Packwood House Museum, call 570-524-0323 or visit www.packwoodhousemuseum.com.
