Brown library has rental space for meetings, weddings

The James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., makes space available for businesses, organizations and individuals for educational and recreation purposes.

The library has several spaces available to accommodate all needs.

There are two rooms on the third floor of the Welch Family Wing, the Lowry Room, which can seat 100, and the Conference Room, which can seat 15.

The Moltz Rotunda Room, which can accommodate 100, and the Cimini Courtyard, an outside venue with gazebo and Children’s Wing programming room expansion space that can comfortably accommodate 50 people.

Facilities must be reserved in advance and a written agreement must be completed.

The use of library facilities does not constitute the library’s endorsement of viewpoints expressed by the user and any advertisement or announcement implying such endorsement is prohibited.

Proof of insurance is required for parties that have 20 or more people.

Outside groups who use library facilities may serve refreshments.

Limited kitchen facilities are available. Groups may contract with outside catering firms.

No on-site food preparation can be accommodated.

All library facilities are non-smoking venues.

Reservations may be made on a first-come, first-served basis no more than six months in advance.

Groups may reserve space for up to six meetings in a six-month period.
