Seneca Resources donates $1,000 in support of summer reading

Seneca Resources, the exploration and production segment of National Fuel Gas Co., has donated $1,000 in support of the James V. Brown Library’s Summer Reading Program.

“We are very grateful for the continued support we have received from Seneca Resources,” said Robin Glossner, development director at the library.

“This gift will help us fulfill our mission of championing the love of reading with children of all ages in our community.”

The library’s Summer Reading Program kicks off with registration Tuesday and programming begins June 16.

The library will offer eight weeks of family storytimes, crafts, science experiments, performances and book bingo days sure to spark an interest in this year’s theme, which is “Fizz, Boom, Read!”

“We are proud to sponsor the James V. Brown Library’s Summer Reading Program on behalf of our many employees who call Pennsylvania home,” said Robert Boulware, manager of stakeholder relations at Seneca Resources.

“While this is a financial contribution, we value your ‘human energy’ and desire to partner with us to make our communities a great place in which to live and work.”

“What’s unique about the Brown Library’s Summer Reading Program is that it is completely funded by donations,” Glossner said.

There is still time to support summer reading through the library’s Adopt-A-Summer Reader campaign.

Each gift will provide programming, support and motivation for one child. To donate, visit
