West End Library to hold June events

LAURELTON – The following events will take place at the West End Library during the month of June.

10:30 a.m. Tuesdays – Discover. Discover is a story time for infants, toddlers and preschoolers along with their parents, or caregivers.

6:30 p.m. June 2 – West End Readers. This group meets the first Monday of each month except July. It will be discuss “Team of Rivals,” by Doris Goodwin and will continue to read this book until the next meeting in August. Register at 570-922-4773 or visit the library.

1 p.m. June 20 – Needlecraft and Friendship. Bring knitting, crocheting, quilting and other needlecraft projects to the library the third Friday of each month.

6:30 p.m. June 30 – Escape with Free e-books. Register at 570-523-1172 or visit the library.

6:30 p.m. June 12 – The Science of Magic. Magician, Scott Fritz, explores the science behind his magic tricks. Register at 570-922-4773.

10:30 a.m. June 17 – Pollinator Program. Register at 570-922-4773.

6:30 p.m. June 19 – Fizz, Boom, Read at the Library with Mr. Blatchley.

6:30 p.m. June 26 – West End Lego Club. Bob Reynolds will share his enormous collection of LEGO bricks. Registration at 570- 922-4773.

1 p.m. June 27 – Butterfly Program. Butterfly enthusiast and teacher, Jerry Schneider, of Vermont, will present his slide presentation of butterflies and moths showcasing wing symmetry, defense mechanisms and butterfly behavior including the remarkable monarch migration.
