Brown Library Links help make new connections, no matter where you live

Technology is constantly changing and evolving. Libraries are no longer just buildings full of books and information, but also hubs for computer access and technology, all provided for free to help citizens expand their capacity for teaching and learning.

Lifelong learning is more than a habit of great utility. The willingness to confront ideas and enhance knowledge, to discover and persist in learning what we hadn’t intended – this is what prepares us for uncertainty. Libraries offer the tools to make better sense of the world, while enriching us along the way.

Start now by signing up for a free library card. For those unable to visit the James V. Brown Library in person at 19 E. Fourth St., the library offers local services through satellite “link” libraries.

This extends library access to the underserved areas of Lycoming County. Each link offers computer access and a range of materials, from children to adult paperbacks, hardcover, DVDs and items by special request.
