Butterfly releases to benefit hospice

SUN Home Health & Hospice will hold five butterfly releases this year to benefit its hospice program.

A local release will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 10 in Brandon Park. There also will be a release at 2 p.m. Aug. 3 in Keithans Bluebird Gardens, 1042 S. Front St., Sunbury.

Additional releases will be held in Newport, Millersburg and Lewistown.

Families and friends can sponsor butterflies in honor or memory of a loved one. There will be a donation fee for each honor or memorial butterfly.

The butterflies will be set free in remembrance of those lost. It is the 13th year SUN Home Health has offered the event.

Proceeds from the releases benefit SUN Home Hospice. SUN Home Hospice has been providing support and comfort to patients with a life-limiting illness for more than 30 years.

SUN Home Health & Hospice, a not-for-profit agency, provides home health and hospice services to 14 counties throughout central Pennsylvania.
