SeniorTek fall classes to begin
Susquehanna SeniorTek at the James V. Brown library will begin a new class session on Sept. 2. SeniorTek features hands-on, low student-to-teacher ratio classes for adults age 50 and older.
Practical uses of the Internet will meet on from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays for six weeks.
The class will cover free sources for programs such as word processing and Internet security.
It also will look at reliable sites for travel, finance, shopping, health and more.
Introduction to Windows 7 will meet from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Fridays for six weeks. It is designed for those with a new computer or using a Windows 7 computer for the first time.
It will focus on using the Windows 7 operating system, an introduction to word processing, using the desktop, file management and saving to a flash drive.
Other topics will be customized to the needs and question of students.
Students may bring their own laptop or use the desktops in our computer lab.
All classes are held in the Art Kline Technology Center on the fourth floor of the library.
