White Deer women golfers compete in naming a league champion

The White Deer Women’s Golf Association had 25 women compete in a two-day tournament recently to name a 2016 champion.

Donna Bamberger was named the champion with a two-day score of 169. Dorothy Smith was runner up with a score of 170. In the second flight, the winner was Julie Strine, with second place going to Vickie Morgan. Third and fourth place were Sharon Schick and Rose Wheeland, respectively.

In the third flight, the winner was Vicki Fischer with Bernie Ragan in second and Candy Hart in third.

Fourth flight winner was Shirley Bonnell with second place going to Shirley Springman.

The skill shots were won by Esther Ludwig, Shirley Bonnell, Candy Nevel, Candy Hart, Carol Metzger, Sharon Shick, Donna Bamberger, Sandy Adams, Lynda Defever, Rose Wheeland and Althea McBride.
