The Vet Centers Director, Lori Raffensberger, L.S.W., recently received a $600 donation from DeWald Chiropractic to help support local combat veterans and their families.

The Vet Center helps veterans and their family members make a satisfying post-war re-adjustment to civilian life through a broad and successful range of counseling, outreach and referrals. Services for a veteran may include individual and group counseling in areas such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), alcohol and drug assessment, and suicide prevention referrals. All services are free and are confidential.

DeWald Chiropractic, 1355 Four Mile Drive, is a supporter of The Williamsport Vet Center. Dr. Jenifer DeWald, Dr. Steven Tambascio and Dr. Shauna Deschenes, volunteered their services during the months of September and October, providing new patients with an initial visit for a donation to The Williamsport Vet Center.

“Our office really enjoys giving something back. We loved having this opportunity to give our time and talents to people in exchange for a donation to help an organization that has helped so many men, women and family members of our military,” DeWald said about their involvement.

During the month of February, DeWald Chiropractic will team up with The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank to help give support to individuals in need. For a donation, new patients will receive a complete health history, chiropractic examination and a report of the findings.
