2017 newsroom resolutions
The Sun-Gazette newsroom staff was asked: “What is your 2017 New Year’s resolution?” The following are the resolutions of those who chose to share them:
Jordan Musheno, Lifestyle and Education editor — My New Year’s resolution is to have only one job. It probably won’t happen. I love both of my jobs too much.
Mike Reuther, Political and Business Writer — Write another book and be nicer to more people.
Cara Morningstar, Education and Religion reporter — I think my resolution is to travel. Ideally, I’d like to go to at least one other country this year. I was lucky enough to get to do it last year, so it might be nice to start going to one other country a year. It’s hard to travel on a budget these days, but I want it to happen!
Jessica Steinbacher, Obituary writer — My New Year’s resolution is to hike more often with my husband and dogs.
Mark Maroney, City Hall writer — My New Year’s resolution is to walk more.
Bethany Wiegand, Arts and Entertainment editor, West Branch Life editor — I want to make a vow to journal more. I’m going to start small with once a week and see how that goes. I used to journal daily, if not twice a day, and I miss chronicling my daily ins and outs.
Ioannis Pashakis, News reporter — To really find a reason to enjoy every single day. It’s too easy to be negative.
Sadie Noviello, Sports staff — Sell more artwork, learn chess, improve my memory, stick to the good healthy habits and reduce my debt.
Anne Reiner, Religion and Health editor — My New Year’s resolution is to get a dog. *woof
