JVB Check It Out

Give a little love this holiday season by contributing to and making personal care kits for those in need in the Williamsport community. The James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., is collecting items to include in personal care kits that will be donated to the American Rescue Workers and YWCA of Northcentral PA.

During an adult program at 6 p.m. on Dec. 18, community members will pack the kits and also make lotion bars and washcloths to include in the kits. More hands make light work so please join us to give a little time, energy and love to those in need in Williamsport.

Requested items for the kits include:

• Toothbrush — single pack

• Tooth Paste — full size tube

• Soap Bar — full size

• Shampoo, 2-in-1 or Conditioner — 13 ounce bottle or less

• Deodorant, full size — gender-neutral or ladies variety

• Comb

• Lip balm

• Travel size lotion

• Nail clippers

• Feminine Products

Please drop off donations anytime in the receptacle in Adult Circulation area of the library.

The Brown Library is part of a national “Libraries Transform” effort to increase awareness of the changing role of libraries and the ways in which libraries are transforming to meet the information needs of their users.

The program will be presented in the Lowry Room on the third floor of the Welch Children’s Wing. Registration is suggested, but not required. Visit calendar.jvbr own.edu to register or call 570-326-0536.

The James V. Brown Library is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; and 24/7 at www.jvbrown.edu.
