Lewisburg Christian Women’s Club to host brunch

LEWISBURG — The Lewisburg Christian Women’s Club will host a brunch at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Country Cupboard, Route 15.

Williamsport Detachment No. 388 Marine Corps League Inc. to host events

The Williamsport Detachment No. 388 Marine Corps League Inc. will host a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Detachment Headquarters, 507 Cemetery St. The meeting is open to active duty and honorable discharged Marines, FMF Navy Corpsman and Navy Chaplains.

There also will be a hot dog and soda sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Gander Outdoors, 66 Mall Parkway, Muncy.

Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild to hold meeting

WELLSBORO — The Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. March 19 in the Gmeiner Arts & Cultural Center, 134 Main St. There will be a “Show and Share” portion after a brief business meeting.

Sylvia Smith, the speaker, will present “What These Quilts Have Taught Me,” a trunk show and lecture.

The 2018 Lancaster American Quilt Society Show will be held March 21-24. The event will include quilt exhibits, workshops and vendors. Benedict’s Bus Service will provide a bus trip on March 23. For more information and to make reservations, call Benedict’s at 570-724-5867.

Packwood House Museum to host annual fundraising dinner

LEWISBURG — The Packwood House Museum will host its annual fundraising dinner at 7 p.m. April 7 at the museum, 15 N. Water St. The theme will be “Trip Around the World.”

The meal will be created and served by the students of The School of Business and Hospitality at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

The evening will start with drinks and hors d’oeuvres in the museum’s Reception Room.

Raffle tickets are on sale in the museum’s Tour Center, 15 N. Water St., Lewisburg or from any Museum Member.

The winning ticket holder will be drawn at 4 p.m. March 24. The winner will share the meal with seven guests in the Museum’s Dining Room.

There is a cost.

Proceeds benefit the Packwood House Museum.
