Tioga County Lyme Disease Support Group to meet
WELLSBORO — The Tioga County Lyme Disease Support Group will be showing the last video of a three-part series based on a talk by Dr. Alan MacDonald, pathologist, about his research on Lyme disease, co-infections and biofilms at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Native Bagel, 3 Central Ave.
The group watched the first two videos of the series at the February and March meetings, which followed with a discussion about biofilms. Attendee’s shared personal stories about illnesses, diagnoses and treatments.
The upcoming May and June meetings also will be at the Native Bagel. July through December, though, meetings will return to the Tokishi Training Center, 124 Nypum Drive.
The Tioga County Lyme Disease Support Group meetings are open to those living in Tioga County, or a surrounding county, diagnosed or may think they have Lyme or another tick-borne illness and wants to learn more.
