Saint John’s School of the Arts to host Introduction to Bonsai classes

Saint John’s School of the Arts, 2101 Newberry St., will host Introduction to Bonsai classes from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 6, 13, 20, 27 and Oct. 4.

Jason Paulhamus, owner of Bug Eaters and Stony Gap Bonsai, will teach the classes.

Attendees will learn how to create and care for bonsai trees.

There is a fee, which includes a tree and pot.

All tools and materials will be provided.

5th annual Pond Tour and Fundraiser

The Fifth Annual Pond Tour and Fundraiser is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 15. Meet at 959 Dunkleburger Road at 9:30 a.m. to buy tickets and pick up your guide.

There is a cost. All proceeds benefit the Lycoming County Special Olympics.

After the tour stop back by 959 Dunkleburger Road for a cookout and meet some athletes, staff and their families.
