April’s book review luncheon

Anne Tyler’s book, “Vinegar Girl” on April 5. Tyler is a well-loved author who has written over 20 novels. She has received many literary awards including the Pulitzer Prize for “Breathing Lessons.” Tyler’s writing focuses on families and relationships.

Janet Hurlbert selected this book to review because of her admiration for Tyler as a woman and writer who creates unlikely situations and quirky characters, but speaks to real life emotions and human truths.

The luncheon begins at noon in the Lowry Room of the Welch Family Wing of the James V. Brown Library. Those who wish may purchase lunch at noon. There is a cost. To reserve lunch, call 570-326-0536 ext. 134. Reservations should be made by Wednesday, April 3. You should register only if you wish to reserve lunch. You may bring your own lunch or attend the book review, which will start at 12:30 p.m.
