Drop-off day for book donations at the JVB

The Friends of the James V. Brown Library are seeking donations of books for all age levels, as well as DVDs, audiobooks and music CDs to support fundraising activities. Donation day from noon to 2 p.m. March 23. Volunteers to unload cars will be outside by the library’s east-side entrance on State Street (alley between the city parking lot and East Fourth Street.)

These donated materials are sold at the Friends Book Store on the third floor of the Welch Children’s wing and at the semiannual book sales. Funds generated contribute to library programming.

Donated books may also be dropped off at the circulation desk anytime during the library’s open hours, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday; noon to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

The Friends ask that donations not include textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines or books damaged by mold and mildew.
