Goodtime 4-H Club’s discusses community service
Voting on food, tie-dying shirts and activities to do at the upcoming May camping trip were on the agenda for The Goodtime 4-H Club’s April meeting held in the Limestone Township Building.
They also discussed upcoming events and dates such as the At the meeting they also went over important upcoming Lewisburg Veteran’s Fourth of July Parade, Union County West End Fair tagging deadlines, the Spangler Noll Historical Farm July event and planting at the Dale Engle Walker House.
Projects like going to Elmcroft to replant and tidy up the courtyard, play cards with the residents and help with upcoming plans for a Memorial Day festival in Mifflinburg also were discussed as community service opportunities.
Members who participated in Project Linus talked about their experiences.
Other members who participated in the Wildlife and Forestry Day at Rock Springs also spoke about what they learned and how much fun they had.
Alec Klingler and Tamira Lantz motioned to purchase fleece make blankets and donate during the fall season to a non-profit.
At The Good Time 4-H Club’s April meeting they also held a community service project for the meeting where everyone brought non-perishable items like canned goods, pasta and crackers to donate to Mazeppa Manna.
