The Meadows hold cruise-in and movie on the lawn

The Meadows recently held its first-ever cruise-in and movie on the lawn event on July 29.

The event featured a variety of classic, hot rod and antique cars on the front field. The event was free and open to the public.

All car show participants received goody bags. Door prizes were given out throughout the event. Two trophies were awarded per class. The groups that voted for the winners were: The Meadows Choice Award that included residents, family members, volunteers and staff of The Meadows and The Participants’ Choice Award that was voted on by car show participants.

Participants’ Choice Classic Car — Jim Remsnyder, 1967 Fairlane

The Meadows’ Choice Antique Car — Tom Frymire, 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

Participants’ Choice Antique Car — Rod Dieffenbacher, 1953 Mercury

The Meadows’ Choice Hot Rod Car — Anthony Bellott, 1948 Fleetmaster

Participants’ Choice Hot Rod Car — Tyler Sabo, 1970 Nova

Later that evening, car show participants and the community stepped back in time as they watched the classic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on the front field.
