Community Theatre to host Patsy Cline tribute artist

Penny Eckman, one of the nation’s top Patsy Cline tribute artists, will perform her show “Penny Sings Patsy” on Oct. 4 at the Community Theatre. Penny has performed up and down the east coast at fairs and venues and even in Patsy’s hometown of Winchester, Va.

Penny performs more than 30 signature Patsy Cline songs with uncanny accuracy. To date she has performed this show more than 100 times at multiple venues on the East Coast.

Her performances routinely draw large crowds, including sold-out shows at The Glen Theater in Watkins Glen, N.Y. and the Big Flats Community Center in Big Flats, N.Y.

In addition to singing performances, Penny Eckman has extensive acting and stage musical experience, including starring roles in the Hamilton Gibson Performances of “Always, Patsy Cline” and as Mama Rose in “Gypsy.”

With more than 20 years of experience as a professional singer, it’s not hard to see why Penny Eckman and her show “Penny Sings Patsy” is a top draw.

Tickets can be purchased online at ctlshows.com or by calling 327-1777, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.weekdays.
