Little Paris Jazz Trio to play Bullfrog Brewery

Little Paris Jazz Trio will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Bullfrog Brewery, 229 W. Fourth St. The Little Paris Jazz Trio is a rustic blend of silver flutes, vintage guitar and mandolin. Performing pieces from the 1930s to the present, the band delivers warm and passionate interpretations of European and American jazz favorites from happy times gone by. Bounce, swing and smiles keep the audience alert and engaged.

Their soon-to-be-released album includes such favorites as “Honeysuckle Rose,” “Bellville,” “Manoir de Me Reves,” “Nuages,” “A Taste of Honey,” a bluesy rendition of “Summertime,” “Gypsy Dance,” “Dark Eyes” and more.

Graced by classic vintage-guitarist, Ed Scholl on an early Gibson, the band also includes Steve Catania – a world-renowned instrument maker from Catania Folk Instruments – on the mandolin and features Flora Eyster on the silver C, alto and bass flutes as well as percussion.

The band performs regularly in community jazz festivals, outdoor stages, fine dining locations, corporate settings, country clubs, private events and many a brew pub.
