Packwood House Announces Art Exhibit

LEWISBURG – Packwood House Museum’s next free exhibit, “Modern Folk,” runs Nov. 2-16, with an opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 2.

Featuring the work of ten regional artists, “Modern Folk” examines the regional culture and landscape by exploring contemporary themes and issues uncharacteristic of traditional folk art

The artists featured will include Amy Abattoir, Danielle Charette, Geoffrey Haun, Jessie Horning, Jenn Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Anna Kell, Jake McCauley, Liz Parrish and Sanh Tran.

They will display a variety of work using both traditional and non-traditional media to express evolving cultural identities of the local region.
