Crosscutters offer anthem auditions

The Williamsport Crosscutters will hold auditions for national anthem performers from 6 to 8 p.m. May 1 from at the Community Arts Center, 220 W. Fourth St.

All individuals and groups who are interested in performing the anthem prior to a 2014 home game must audition on this date, including all who have performed in previous years.

“We moved our auditions to the CAC last year and it met with great success,” Gabe Sinicropi, the Cutters vice president of marketing and public relations, said. “We are pleased and proud to be able to hold our auditions in such a top notch facility.”

The Crosscutters are looking for any and all types of performers including soloists, groups and musicians, of any age. All vocal auditions will be performed a cappella and must be kept under one minute and 30 seconds.

Performers will be heard on a first-come, first-served basis during the audition time and rated by a panel of judges. Those chosen to sing at a game will be notified and scheduled at a later date.
