First Friday events announced

First Friday in April brings the artists and crafters back onto the sidewalks on Pine Street and Fourth Street. Uptown Music Collective students will be providing the live music on Pine Street.

This month’s exhibits include:

Converge Gallery, 140 W. Fourth S., 5 to 9 p.m. – Converge Gallery will present “Drawing Breath,” an exhibition of recent work by Lawrence Charles Miller. Opening reception at 6 p.m. tonight.

GG2, 343 Pine St., 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. – GG2 will feature Cheryl Bower, offering handmade glass Easter eggs and an assortment of glass jewelry. Gustonian Gifts will feature Easter clay pins made by Chris Shuck .

Bullfrog Brewery, 229 W. Fourth St., 10 p.m. – Vinegar Creek Constituency will play a free show at Bullfrog Brewery.

James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., 5 to 8 p.m. – Featured is the artwork of the Local Black Heritage project created in collaboration with community members and Lycoming College students.

Woodlands Bank, 213 W. Fourth St., 5 to 8 p.m. – Gene (Little Bear) Dobbs will display acrylic art and Native American crafts.

Eagle Rock Winery, 414 W. Fourth St., Eagle Rock Winery will have chocolate and wine as the theme.

Community Theatre League, 100 W. Third St., 7:30 p.m. – Performance of “Alone Together Again”: George and Helene have managed to get their three sons out of the house, only to welcome three aging parents.

Artisan Kitchen & Bath, 152 W. Fourth St., 5 to 8 p.m. – Work will be on display from photographer Stephen B. Hoff, of Stephen B. Hoff Photography, and artist Tiffany Fuller, of The Art of Autism.

Otto Bookstore, 107 W. Fourth St., 5 to 8 p.m. – Otto’s First Friday authors are Larry Stout, of Mongomery and Joseph W. Smith, of Montoursville. Stout’s book is “Nightfall, a Mystical Mystery.” Smith’s book is a scholarly catalog and interpretation of the passages in the Bible that many try to avoid, called “Sex and Violence in the Bible.”

Baskin Gallery at the Williamsport Area School District’s District Service Center, 2780 W. Fourth St., 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. – Annual Art Awards Show for select students in seventh through 12th grades in the district.

ST’Art @ Genetti, 200 W. Fourth St., 4 to 5:30 p.m. – This month’s featured artist is Kelly Fischer, a senior art student from WAHS.

CH’Arts at Plankenhorn’s, 200 W. Fourth St., 4 to 6 p.m. – Gallery will feature artwork from Cochran Primary School students, led by Chelsea Cramer, art teacher.

Pajama Factory, 1307 Park Ave., 6 to 9 p.m. – “Behind the Art of a Picture Book” exhibition by Laura Knorr will hold a closing reception from 6 to 9 p.m., with an artist talk at 7. Live music will be provided by Kevin Badolato and light refreshments will be available.

Community Arts Center, 220 W. Fourth St., 7:30 p.m. – Todd Oliver and Friends, “Dogs Gone Wild Tour.”
