First Friday library event cancelled
The performance of mentalist Terry G. Smith and “The World of E.S.P.” scheduled for Aug. 1 at the James V. Brown Library has been cancelled.
The First Friday performance was to have featured Smith reading headlines that he predicted for the Aug. 1 edition of the Sun-Gazette. Smith made his predictions on July 15 and then locked them in a strongbox that has been on display at the library.
The library’s other First Friday activites, including the Splashmobile summer reading vehicle and activities highlighting the Geek the Library campaign, have not been cancelled.
