Taber Museum to host summer concert
The Thomas T. Taber Museum, 858 W. Fourth St., will host The Dansbachers, a musical group that specializes in German oompah and polkas, at 7 p.m. July 24 in the Victorian gardens of the museum. The concert is free and open to the public. The gardens are located in back of the building.
The “Dansbachers” are centered in Danville, formed from the Danville Community Band. They play extensively in central Pennsylvania, delighting audiences with their blend of familiar tunes, including the often-requested “Pennsylvania Polka.”
Following the concert, an old-fashioned ice cream social will be held with ice cream graciously donated by Schneider Valley Farms. Guests are requested to bring a lawn chair or blanket. A freewill donation will be accepted. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the community room of the museum. Parking is available on the street or in the public parking lot behind Trinity Episcopal Church.
