Deane Center to present free tap and rhythmic dance class for children

WELLSBORO – “Untapped,” a free Deane Little Beans program for children 5 to 12, will be held from 3:30-4:30 p.m. April 7 in the Deane Center for the Performing Arts’ Coolidge Theatre, 104 Main St.

Michelle Huynh will present “Untapped,” a rhythmic introduction to tap dancing, percussion dance and movement, but without the use of tap shoes.

“The children do not need any experience to participate and do not need to wear dance clothes either,” Huynh said. “They should wear closed-toe shoes like sneakers or boots, but not flip flops or sandals.”

Huynh has been teaching dance for the past 19 years. She gives dance lessons through Michelle’s Studio of Tap at the Deane Center.
