Mansfield University student to hold photography exhibit at Pajama Factory

MANSFIELD – “Music: Home Grown to Well-known”is a photography art exhibit by Mansfield University student Morgan Matyjevich, which will be held from 6-8 p.m. April 30 at the Pajama Factory, 1307 Park Ave.

The exhibit explores bands and artists from all around Pennsylvania as well as nationally-known artists and captures their energy through photography. The photographs presented explore Matyjevich’s love for concerts and more specifically, concert photography.

“When I was growing up, music was a big influence on me. It wasn’t until I learned of names such as Ryan Russell and Adam Elmakias that I realized that music and concert photography was a specific kind of photography that I admired,”Matyjevich said. “Since discovering this I have been finding ways to take my own photographs surrounding music and capturing the energy of bands and artists on stage. These pictures represent the growing music scene around Pennsylvania as well as bands that have traveled the world and become very successful.”
