Susquehanna University to present Tennessee Williams drama

SELINSGROVE – Susquehanna University’s theater department will present Tennessee Williams’ “Orpheus Descending” at 7:30 p.m. April 21-24.

Set in the 1940s South, “Orpheus Descending” tells the tale of Lady Torrance, the wife of an ailing small-town storeowner who fights to find balance in her spiraling life.

Everything changes when she welcomes a charismatic traveling guitar player named Val into her store. When Val’s presence causes a disruption in the sheriff’s marriage, things take a turn for the worst in a way that affects every member of their small town.
