Raven and The Wren to perform as part of Rusty Rail Live series

MIFFLINBURG — Fresh from their summer tour, Raven and The Wren will perform at 9 p.m. Friday at the Rusty Rail Brewing Co., 5 N. Eighth St.

Based out of Happy Valley, Raven and The Wren live and breathe honesty and passion, which is evident in their original songs. As a band, they’re committed to telling the truth, speaking to reality, and looking into the unlit corners and staring down the darkness through their music.

“I think throughout every genre of music there’s ‘woe is me, he or she broke my heart, daddy left me, no one loves me,’ but I tend to steer away from that,” said Natty Lou Race, singer and guitarist in the band. “The songs on our album are more about how I messed up, how I broke someone’s heart, how I have shame or guilt or was unfaithful. I’m not afraid to go there. I’ll be the first to admit my mistakes. People are very quick to talk about the wrong done unto them, but they don’t want to talk about the wrongdoing they’ve done unto others.”

Tickets for the show are available at www. rustyrailbrewing.com/raven2 or at the door.

The Steel Wheels, Selwyn Birchwood and Henhouse Prowlers will hit the Rusty Rail Live stage in November, and additional shows are booked through the end of the year.
