West Branch Chorale Concert to present two concerts

The West Branch Chorale Concert, under the direction of their new conductor, Shirley Smith, will present their first concert together at 3 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Faith Methodist Church, Montoursville. The second concert will be 3 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Pleasant View Wesleyan Church, Muncy.

Note that this year, due to scheduling restraints the first concert will be at the Faith Methodist Church.

The program will include favorites, such as “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” “Let It Snow!” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and “The Glory of the Lord from Messiah”; plus a number of new selections like, “Rise Up,” “Shepherd” and “Follow” for the men’s chorus; five of the Burt Carols, and “A Christmas Blessing” (ladies only).

Instrumental accompaniment will be offered by Joy Barto on piano and organ; Sarah Christine White, oboe; Krista White, flute; and Wayne Gaver, bassoon. Tone chimes will be added to some selections and played by Chorale members.
